A Few Notes From Cheryl
Happy New
Year: Here we are, one of my most favorite times of the
year - the beginning! This is a chance to start anew, for you
individually and for your organizations. This month's article
will help you start the year off by honoring your most meaningful
commitments, so enjoy this exciting time of new beginnings.
Welcome: Welcome
to our many new InSights
members! Many of you have just joined our online community in the
past month from workshops that I have led at your organizations and
professional associations. We warmly welcome you and would love
to hear your input on topics for future issues of this e-zine.
Team Building: This month, I led team building seminars
for some of you and your teams, and we are already have scheduled more
for February, March and April. We have a few openings left in
February, so if you would like to explore how your team can achieve
their desired results in 2006, contact us soon while there is still
space available. The further in advance we plan, the more
scheduling options we will have, so I look forward to talking with you!
Your Financial
Freedom Day: As you know, from time to time I share with
you additional resources that I think would be helpful, based on the
input you share with me. For those of you who are working on
financial goals and intentions, please read on...if not, just skip to
this month's feature article. My friend and coach, Loral
Langemeier, has written a book that will help you declare your
financial freedom day and create a plan to achieve it. Even if
you have debt and/or lower-than-desired income, you can set your own
"Financial Freedom Day." You will have access to strategies to help you
take your first steps to the w$ealth you desire. That is the promise
from Loral Langemeier, author of "The Millionaire Maker" a new book
filled with inside secrets and tips to becoming wealthy. Once you
envision that day, the rest is almost automatic, because it just
follows a natural path to w$ealth creation. Get this book
and over $12,500 in b-o-n-u-s g^ifts online at: http://TheMillionaireMakerBook.com

To your success and abundance this year in ALL ways,

Feature Article: What Are You Committed to
in 2006?
Here we are, at the beginning of 2006. It's a great time to ask
yourself: "What am I really committed to"? For those of you
who have gone through one of my workshops, remember our discussion
about the "wants" vs. the "shoulds" -- what is it that you really WANT
in 2006? What are you willing to commit to?
Since it's toward the end of January, this is a great time to check in
to see how you're already doing with your New Year's intentions (notice
I did not call them resolutions!). How is your progress?
What can you already celebrate about honoring your intentions for
2006? Also, where are you falling short of your expectations and
what needs to happen to get back on track?
By the way, did you have a chance to close out 2005 in the way we
discussed in our December e-zine (if you missed that article, be sure
to check it out at http://www.goalsinsight.com/newsletters/index.html
)? If not, it's not too late - take time now to capture your
biggest successes, failures and learnings from 2005. These will
help you in creating your commitments/intentions for 2006!
Ok, back to the present moment. I led several team building and
corporate workshops this month and there was a common theme that arose
each time, even though each group was very different: What are you committed to?
Now is the
time to look at who
you
want to BE in 2006 - who will you "show up" as in the world this
year? Since most of you tell me that your main areas of focus are
both work and personal life, let's take a look at these areas:
WORK:
1. What are
you MOST committed to at work for 2006? How
are these commitments tied to your organization's core values?
How are these commitments tied to your personal values?
2. How do
these commitments fit into the bigger picture? How do
they fit into your other work priorities? How will you
integrate these commitments into the bigger picture of your
organization's or team's overall goals for 2006?
3. Who will you be at work this year? Specifically,
how will you "show up" at work in 2006 -- as a leader? A
follower? An empowered change agent? What will be your
chosen role (yes, it CAN be a choice!)?
4. What is the impact you
are committed to having on the world in 2006 through
your work? What is important to you about that impact? What
difference will that impact make on your team, your entire
organization, your larger community and the entire world?
5. Who will
you share your commitments with? The chances of achieving
your desired intentions and goals increases by up to 65% when you share
your commitment with another person. Who will you tell? By
when?
6. What
support and accountability do you need to ensure that you stay
committed to these intentions so that you can
have the impact you desire? You will have a 95% chance of
achieving your goals if you commit to another person and schedule
regular, ongoing accountability/check-in discussions. If you
don't have someone you can do this with who is truly committed to your
ongoing success, contact us about how coaching can support you - that's
what we do in coaching, is support you and hold you accountable to your
most meaningful goals on a regular basis, so that you WILL achieve them!
PERSONAL/HOME LIFE:
1. What are you MOST committed to personally
for 2006? How
are these commitments tied to your personal values?
2. How do
these commitments fit into the bigger picture? How do
they fit into your other personal priorities? How will you
integrate those commitments into the bigger picture of your overall
intentions/goals for 2006?
3. Who will you be in your personal life this
year? Specifically,
how will you "show up" at home and socially in 2006 -- as an energized
and enthusiastic person living your desired life? Or, tired and
uninspired? This is a wonderful time to consciously choose who
you will be this year!
4. What is the impact you
are committed to having on the world
in 2006? What is important to you about that impact? What
difference will that impact make on your life? Your loved
ones? Your community? The entire world?
5. Who will
you share your commitments with? Remember,
the chances of you achieving your desired intentions and goals
increase significantly when you share your commitment with another
person. Who will you tell?
6. What
support and accountability do you need to ensure that
you stay committed to these intentions so that you can
have the impact you desire? You will have a 95% chance of
achieving
your goals if you commit to another person and schedule regular,
ongoing accountability/check-in discussions. If you don't have
someone
you can do this with who is committed to your ongoing success, contact
us about how coaching can support you - that's what we do in coaching
is support you and hold you accountable to your most meaningful goals,
so that you achieve them and live the life you most desire!
Now that you have explored these questions, how do you feel now about
your commitments for 2006? What else do you need in order to
complete your commitments and stay on track for 2006?
Please remember to CELEBRATE completing this process! Do
something fun, or
find a way to acknowledge the time and energy you put into ensuring
that you're setting the foundation for a successful 2006.
Most of all, ENJOY!!!
If you need some help with goal setting to make sure
that your 2006 intentions and commitments are truly MEANINGFUL, here
are two resources in addition to the coaching I already mentioned:
1. "6 Steps to Setting
& Achieving Your Most Meaningful Goals" audio CD and workbook
program at www.goalsinsight.com/products/index.html
by Cheryl Mann that
walks you
through the process, step-by-step, on this topic.
2. "Ordinary People Can Achieve Their Lofty Goals" e-book
at http://www.1automationwiz.com/app/?af=334644
by David DeFord. Top experts from the personal development field

you want - Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Chris Widener, Cheryl Mann and
others. It is truly an honor to have one of my articles ("5 tips
to Achieving Your Goals") published in this e-book with these amazing
experts.

hard and
you don't have to struggle - we're here to help you if you'd like
support!
