A Few Notes From Cheryl

Happy October!

Welcome to all of our new readers -- many of you have joined this online community recently, so welcome aboard.  Be sure to check out the **f*r*e*e** early holiday gift below - this is a gift to all of you, our loyal readers.  Hope you can join us and experience the fun of a teleclass!

For those of you who received this e-zine from a friend and wish to start receiving these newsletters each month, you are invited to sign up at http://www.goalsinsight.com/Newsletter.htm .

This month's feature article below is based on two quotes that have recently come across my desk multiple times.  I believe there's a reason they came my way, so I'm sharing them with you.

From time to time, InSights includes tips from featured guests to help you live your desired life.  Our featured guest below is Pam Condie, who helps individuals and organizations organize their home and office spaces.  I have personally experienced Pam's services, and found her to be amazing -- she is extremely helpful because she customizes her approach to your specific needs in a non-judmental way that helps you determine the best system for you.  See below for some great organizing tips to help you create your ideal space!

As always, we love to hear your feedback, so please let us know what you think about having periodic guest contributors in the future (and the topics you'd like to read about to help you live your desired life)!

Enjoy,

    Cheryl

Feature Article:  What's in a Quote?

Have you ever had the same piece of information come across your desk once, then twice, and maybe even a third time within a short period of time?   I recently had this experience, and these quotes came to me during a time when several of my coaching clients were experiencing similar challenges.  After the third time, I finally had an "aha" moment and realized that the universe was trying to help provide me with information that I could share with others!

I am sharing these two quotes with you with the intent that they may be as helpful to you as they were to some of my clients:

1.  "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.  It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, who am I to be, brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?  Actually, who are you NOT to be?  You are a child of God.  Your playing small doesn't serve the world.  There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you...as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
- Marianne Williamson

2.  "Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
- Eleanor Roosevelt

These quotes are about playing BIG in the world -- going for what you want and showing up fully in everything that you do.  For those of you who have worked with me, you know that this is one of the biggest benefits to coaching -- living your life more fully, and making conscious choices to create what you want!

I invite you now to take a moment to reflect on these questions:
  • What part(s) of these quotes resonated with you?  Why?

  • What's the biggest learning for you in these messages?

  • What is one thing you will do differently, starting today, to start playing BIG and letting YOUR light shine?

  • Who will you ask to support you and hold you accountable to make the changes needed for you to start playing BIG?
As always, I love hearing what you'll do differently as a result of these monthly inquiries, so feel free to send me an e-mail  with your thoughts!

Guest Article:  "Clearing Our Clutter" by Pam Condie

Clutter is nothing more than postponed decision making.   Here are some organizing tips to get you started:

1.  Decision making for getting rid of excess stuff:  Ask yourself, "Do I need it?  Do it love it?"  If you get two no's, out it goes!  If you get one yes, it can stay.
2.  Keep things where you use them.  If you need more than one pair of utility scissors, for example, keep a pair in the kitchen, office and wherever else you find you need them.
3.  Donation station.  A box or large plastic bag in your closet will save you time and trouble when you donate to a charity.
4.  Launching pad.  To remember to take things with you when you leave the house, use a large basket or even a section of the floor near the front door.  If you will kick it, you will be reminded to pick it up and take it with you.
5.  Landing strip.  A place to put your wallet, change, glasses and keys when you arrive home will save you searching when you are in a hurry to leave.
